Breakaway is an annual weekend gathering designed for Christians to breakaway for worship, challenge, and refreshment in the Holy Spirit.

The weekend is a special time for spiritual renewal. Breakaway always has a strong focus on discipleship and worship. This year the breakouts will include special training tracts for renewal, relationships, college and career interests, and marriage. We will have the prayer room set up again.

Everyone is welcome to this special worship event. We encourage those in relationship with Family Discipleship Ministries to make it a priority to join us.

Speakers:  LA Joiner will be our guest speaker this year.  Other speakers will come from our FDM leadership including Eddie & Beth Taylor, Rodney & Renee Thrift, Brinson Barker, Grace Bolton, Mike Thurman, and Ray Owens. 

You can sign up for Breakaway on line. The conference fee is $40.00 per person which includes 4 meals served on site at Crossway Church (Saturday & Sunday lunch & dinner). For those who will be attending and you do not want to be a part of the meal package your fee is $20.00 per person.  Being together for fellowship at meal times is a big part of our weekend. For children ages 0 to 5 there is no charge. All other children will be charged a $25.00 per child fee.  Remember that High School Seniors are welcome to attend (regular conference fee).  You can go to http://familydm.com/ and click on the FDM logo. Once you have done that you can click on the donate button and then fill in your credit card information.   If you want to mail a check it should be sent to Family Discipleship Ministries 247 Martha Sue Dr. Chatsworth, GA 30705.  All reservations will need to be made by December 30th.  After December 30th we cannot offer any refunds.

Housing Information:  Our Breakaway official Hotel is the Comfort Suites in Waycross ( http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-waycross-georgia-GA636/Hotel-Photos?sid=uix4g.40qrhgdRF.7).  Everyone will be responsible for making their own reservations.  This means you will need to get together with those you would like to room with for the weekend.  This is a brand new Hotel with continental breakfasts, heated indoor pool, whirlpool/hot tub, all rooms are suites (you can see pictures on the web link), free wireless high speed internet access, microwaves, refrigerators, guest laundry, fitness center, etc.  You can book either a room with two Queens or a King bed.  Each room has a pull out couch bed.  This means you could put up to 6 in a room for our special Breakaway Conference Rate of $75.21 per day (this includes taxes).  We have access to a large meeting room in the Hotel all weekend to gather when we are not at Crossway Church.
There are a limited number of homes and even some RV's for those with special financial needs this year. If you will let us know we can try to place you in one of these housing situations provided by the generosity of Crossway Church.
Our plan is to provide child care this year utilizing Crossway's Children Workers & rooms. We may need some additional workers who would like to come and volunteer as in past years. There is a nice playground at the church. Please be sure and RSVP if you will be using child care during Breakaway.

Here's the plan:
Most everyone will be able to come up late Friday afternoon (hopefully after work or school) and arrive for worship time at 9:00. We will have some refreshments available, but you should eat before arriving on Friday night. On Saturday and Sunday morning we will have worship and then eat lunch at Crossway. The afternoon will be open for Breakouts, recreation (annual football game), & relaxation. We will eat dinner at Crossway also on Saturday and Sunday evening.  Sunday night we will have our closing worship session where we will take some time to honor and recognize our FDM family. Everyone is welcome to stay through Sunday night.  Please let us know if you will not be staying for Sunday night so we can plan for both nursery and dinner on that night.
